Privacy Policy — stedding.dev
Draft for the website’s privacy page. Placeholders in square brackets are filled by the site owner before publishing; nothing in brackets may be invented by an implementer. Last reviewed: [DATE].
Summary
This website does not track you. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics, no ad scripts, no third-party fonts, and no embedded widgets. It is static files served from a content delivery network.
Who is responsible
[LEGAL ENTITY OR PERSON], [COUNTRY]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
What the website processes
Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare’s network. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare receives the request data any web server receives — IP address, requested URL, time, browser user agent, referrer — and keeps it for a short period for security and operational purposes under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
Nothing else. The website has no accounts, no forms [ADJUST IF A CONTACT FORM EXISTS], no newsletter, no comments, no cookies, and no local storage of its own.
Downloads and links to other services
Downloads of the browser are served by GitHub (Releases). Following those links takes you to GitHub, which applies its own privacy policy. The same is true of links to the source repository and to third-party sites.
The browser itself
This policy covers the website only. What the Stedding browser does on the network is documented, connection by connection, at https://github.com/ysalitrynskyi/stedding-browser/blob/main/docs/PRIVACY.md. In short: no telemetry, no experiments, no identifiers; update checks go to GitHub Releases without any identifier.
Your rights
Where data protection law applies to you (for example the GDPR or the UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Since the website stores no personal data of its own, requests concern only Cloudflare’s short-lived logs; write to [CONTACT EMAIL].
Changes
Changes to this policy are published on this page with the date of the last review. The page’s history is public in the website’s repository.
